| Throughout
the times, the Almighty Allah has sent a succession of messengers,
who guided the humankind and delivered the scripture. These
messengers were invariably supported by divine miracles which
proved to the believers that they were indeed sent by Allah.
Since Prophet Mohammed (SA) was the seal of the Prophets and
the Last messenger, it is logical that the divine miracle
supporting his mission should be eternal and perpetual in
order for all the human generations to witness it. It also
follows that the message delivered by him, and the miracle
associated with it, should be perfectly preserved and protected
from the slightest distortion.
The divine miracle supporting the mission
of the holy Prophet, which will last till the Day of Judgement,
is the Quran itself. The historic events of the last 1400
years clearly confirm this divine truth. Thus, every human
generation since the advent of Prophet Mohammed (SA) has witnessed
undeniably miraculous features in the holy Quran. The first
generation of post-Islam Arabia, noted for their literary
excellence in both poetry and prose, were utterly stunned
and overwhelmed by the literary and linguistic perfection
of the Quran. As the mysteries of the universe were unveiled
by advancing science and technology, the students of the Quran
noted that the new findings had been already pointed out in
the Quran.
And when the shape of the earth was discovered to be round,
the students of the glorious Quran noted that this fact is
confirmed in lucid words." He rolls the night around
the day; and He rolls the day around the night." The
wordings of this holy verse leave no doubt that the rolling
of the night around the day, and the rolling of the day around
the night cannot take place unless the earth is round

In the same surah, we see that Allah's command
to end life on this earth will come, "during the night
or during the day." The Omniscient Allah, of coarse knows
exactly when life will come to an end on this earth, be it
during the night or during the day. But the fact is that this
earth is half in the day and half in the night at any given
moment, due to its rounded shape and the incidence of the
sun's light on one side of it.
Another generation of humans witnessed another Quranic miracle
when it was observed that the sun is the source of light,
while the moon is a mere reflector of the sun's light. The
Quran had already confirmed the discovery in surah al-furqaan,
and surah nooh, where it sun is consistently termed as "siraj"
(lamp), while the moon is described as noor( light).

The Holy Quran is the illustration of the
perpetuity of the Prophet Mohammed's (SA) miracle, just as
physically as the Israelites witnessed the miracle of the
Prophet Musa (SA) and his a'sa (staff), and as clearly as
the disciples of the Prophet Isa (SA) perceived him revive
the dead.
